Introduction

Calatonia is a body work method, used in psychotherapy and other therapies like physiotherapies, speech therapies ans medical therapies. Calatonia was created with the spirit and purpose of serving the human being in physical and psychological need. It developed from a method of treatment until an epistemi, based on human anatomy and physiology, in depth psychology - notably Jung - and humanists and spiritualists philosophical principles. The appropriate dissemination and expansion were guiding objectives of Dr. Sándor, and we intend to continue this work in the same spirit.

Our Center has been around since 2010, when we began conducting Calatonia courses in Italy and England. With the development of the work together with groups of students, it became clear that there was a need to systematize the training in Calatonia, offered abroad in accordance with the objectives and criteria described here. The purpose is to spread and expand this body of knowledge created by Petho Sándor in Europe and developed in Brazil.

Our group focuses on conducting training or information courses abroad - workshops. Our purpose is to add colleagues and therapists, or interested people to this approach, making room for reports and exchanges of ideas and experiences. We join ourselves to the various existing Calatonia groups: the group of the course Calatonia and Integration Fisopsíquica (ex - Psychological Kinesiology) from the Instituto Sedes Sapientiae in Sao Paulo; the group of the course Jung and Body (ex- Jungian Psychotherapy related to Body Techniques) from the same Insitute; and others which can benefit from greater contact and exchanges, as we propose.

We invite all Calatonia therapists trained by Sándor or his former students to join this group, post their resumes and send articles, photos and material for exchanges and reflections.
